Chairman's Annual Report 2010

Chairman's report 2010
I have thoroughly enjoyed serving the people of the parish as chairman over the previous 12 months; it has been an honour and a privilege.

I am pleased to report that in my opinion, the council is operating efficiently and effectively, the fundamental reason for this, being the quality of our Clerk Mr Neil Leadbetter, whom I wish to thank for his sterling work.

I would like to extend an open invitation to the parishioners to engage with the council in future projects and initiatives, such as the planned regeneration of Carr lane plantation, willing volunteers are more than welcome to contribute to the improvement of this popular and well used public amenity.

I am sure we are all well aware of the current economic climate, and that the budget deficit is at the front of most people’s minds. However, I am once again pleased to report that there will not be any increase in this year’s precept.

Finally, thanks go to all councillors who have made a contribution to the successful administration of the councils business, details of previous agendas, minutes and attendance records can be found on the council’s website.
